TPL LABELS ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

TPL recognises its responsibility to conduct operations, provide services and manufacture products in a manner that is responsible to the Earth's environment and protective of its natural resources and to this end have established the following environmental policy.

It is the established policy of TPL to:-

Comply with current and any future environmental legislation.
Minimise pollution from the company's activities.
Periodically review the environmental performance of the company.
Involve staff at all levels within the organisation to promote a respect for natural resources,
thus ensuring continual improvement of environmental aspects.
Actively liaise with and encourage suppliers to develop environmentally friendly materials thus conserving natural resources.
Promote to customers the positive benefits that improved environmental performance can have on their competitiveness in the marketplace.

The Directors and Management Team of the company have established that in order to comply with the contents of the policy they will endeavour to carry out the following:-

Advocate the re-use or recycling of items in order to minimise disposal thus minimising pollution and protecting natural resources.
Review at least once every 12 months the environmental performance of the company and identify and implement improvements (where practicable).
Train staff within the company to be aware of aspects which can impace advesely on the environment, actively promoting and encouraging employees to be proactive in:-

Minimising waste.
Encouraging recycling.
Conserving energy.
Identifying areas where improvements may be made.

Hold periodic meetings with suppliers to identify areas where improvement can be made and establish time-scales for such actions.
Encourage and guide customers into choosing low-impact alternatives and where appropriate provide relevant information to customers on the safe use and disposal of our products.
